BREHACK - DevLog

LOG_ENTRY // ACCESS LEVEL: UNAUTHORIZED
You weren't supposed to find this file. Technically neither was I — six months ago this was just a folder called "untitled_game" sitting on a laptop, and now it's a playable piece of software with your name nowhere in its credits but your fingerprints all over its inspiration list.
BREHACK is out. Right now. Free. On this page.
Here's what you're walking into, without walking into the spoilers. Everyone calls you Rusty. You wrote code for a corporation called SETA and never once asked what it was actually for. Then someone you loved disappeared, and you started asking. The system doesn't like that.
Why it looks like this
I didn't want to make another clean, modern-looking horror game. I wanted BREHACK to feel like found footage — like you dug up a dying camcorder tape from a building that isn't supposed to exist anymore. That's why every scene runs through PSX-era rendering, scanlines, and VHS tracking errors that glitch worse the deeper you go. The technology degrading is part of the story, not just the aesthetic.
Every one of SETA's three floors got its own color, its own kind of wrong. You'll feel the difference the second you step onto Red.
Why it exists
This is my first real release. Solo developer, no studio, no publisher — just six months of nights spent inside Unity trying to make a hallway feel like it's watching you back. If you've ever wanted to see what happens when someone with too many horror movies in their head and just enough C# knowledge decides to build a corporate dystopia from scratch, this is that.
What I need from you
Download it. It's free — name your own price if you want to throw something in, but it's not required. Play it in one sitting if you can, it's built for that. Then come back to the comments and tell me what broke you, what confused you, what you'd want to see if this world gets bigger. Every rating, every comment, every share is the only marketing budget a solo dev actually has.
Welcome to SETA. You never had a choice.
